Call for Abstracts 2nd SEDO Conference 2024

The Organising Committee of the 2nd SEDO Conference 2024 is calling for abstract submissions.

To present your research at the conference, please submit an abstract for peer review. After your abstract has been accepted and registration fees have been paid, your place at the conference will be confirmed.

Abstracts of papers describing original work are invited in any of the Sub-themes.

Authors will be asked to indicate their interest in submitting a paper to the conference journal. Invitations for papers will be sent to selected authors.

DEADLINE:

  • Submission of Abstracts: Friday, April 5, 2024

SUBMISSION

Submission of Abstracts through the following email address: 2sedoconference@ucc.edu.gh. Kindly use the sub-theme under which your abstract falls as the “Subject” of your abstract mail.

Note:

If you submit early and your abstract is identified as having scope for further development, a peer reviewer will give feedback for revision.  You will then be able to resubmit it within the deadline for reconsideration.

Please note that there will be a one-time presentation rule.  While you can be a named author or contributor on several submissions, you can only present once.

For abstract submission, please provide:

  1. Title of the paper.  This should indicate what the paper is about.
  2. Name, email address, title and institution/organisation of each author.
  3. Name of the Sub-theme to which you are submitting.
  4. Keywords between 3 and 5 are written beneath the abstract.
  5. Word count (not exceeding 400 words).

For abstracts based on empirical research, please indicate the following clearly:

  1. Purpose of the paper
  2. Research objectives and/or research questions/hypothesis
  3. Summary of the methodology
  4. Key findings
  5. Recommendations

For abstracts other than empirical research, please indicate the following clearly:

  1. Purpose of the paper
  2. Underpinning theory/concepts
  3. Conclusions
  4. Implications/recommendations for policy/practitioners
